4-Amino-5-fluoro-7-(β-D-ribofuranosyl)-7H-pyrrolo[2.3-d]pyrimidine is an analog of the natural product molybdenum cofactor. It has a particle shape and toroidal, linear shape. The electron density from X-ray diffraction data shows that the molecule consists of a large ring with a central molybdenum atom surrounded by four amine groups.
