Beschreibung

13-Acetyl-9-dihydrobaccatin III is a diterpene that is found in the bark of Taxus cuspidata and Camptotheca acuminata. It has been shown to have anti-cancer properties, and is used clinically to treat certain types of myeloma. 13-Acetyl-9-dihydrobaccatin III binds to the cell surface receptor CD20, which blocks B cells from differentiating into immunoglobulin producing plasma cells. This compound has been shown to be an effective treatment for myeloma and has been shown to have a low level of toxicity.
