Beschreibung

2-Amino-5-sulfamoylbenzoicacid is a diuretic drug that is used to treat high blood pressure. It prevents the reabsorption of sodium by the kidneys and increases the amount of urine excreted. The hydrolysis of 2-amino-5-sulfamoylbenzoic acid occurs in two stages: first, it is hydrolyzed to 2-aminobenzoic acid, which then undergoes hydrolysis to benzenesulfonic acid. This drug also has an amide group with a benzyl group attached to one nitrogen atom. 2-Amino-5-sulfamoylbenzoicacid may interact with other medications such as antihistamines, antibiotics, and antacids.
