Beschreibung

N-(2-Acetamido)iminodiacetic acid is a molecule that is used in the treatment of diabetes. It is a group P2 transcription activator, which enhances the expression of insulin from pancreatic cells. N-(2-Acetamido)iminodiacetic acid has been shown to improve glucose metabolism and increase the glomerular filtration rate in diabetic patients. It also has pharmacokinetic properties that are similar to those of malonic acid, which can be used for diagnostic purposes. N-(2-Acetamido)iminodiacetic acid binds to antigen binding molecules and inhibits atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
