Beschreibung:Allopurinol is a drug that is used in the treatment of gout and other disorders caused by excessive production of uric acid. It functions as an inhibitor of xanthine oxidase, which is the enzyme responsible for converting hypoxanthine to xanthine, and xanthine to uric acid.
