• Beschreibung: ANNINE-6plus is a synthetic hemicyanine dye that exhibits low fluorescence. It has been used in optical imaging of surface membranes and in staining animals, as well as to measure the concentration of counterions. The optical properties of ANNINE-6plus are sensitive to changes in pH, membrane potential, and extracellular potassium ion concentration. In cardiac cells, this dye is able to induce hypertrophy and inhibit apoptosis. However, ANNINE-6plus is not expressed at high levels by ventricular myocytes and does not have any effect on their electrophysiological activity.
