Beschreibung

2-Acetamidoacrylic acid is an organic compound that belongs to the class of trifluoroacetic acids. It has been shown to have a photoelectron spectrum with a maximum at 9.5 eV, which corresponds to the sodium salt form. This acid has also been found in a kinetic study to be hydrolyzed by amines and malonic acid, and bacterial translocation studies have shown that it can inhibit the transport of bacteria across epithelial barriers. 2-Acetamidoacrylic acid is used as a reagent for the preparation of sodium carbonate from sodium salts and carbon dioxide, and can be converted into acrylamide by heating with ammonia gas or ammonium hydroxide solution.
