2-Acetylamino-4-chlorophenol (2ACCP) is an aminophenol that can be isolated from wastewater effluents. It is a phenolic compound that has been shown to have chemotaxis activity in aminophenols, which are organic compounds that are produced by bacteria in the environment. These aminophenols have been found to stimulate the growth of enterobacteria and to inhibit the growth of other bacteria. This compound has also been shown to mineralize chloride and carbon sources, as well as biotransforming hydrochloric acid under aerobic conditions.
