Bis-(3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl)adipate is a bifunctional chemical that can be used as a surface active agent, a solvent, or an additive. It has been shown to have high water solubility and good biodegradability. Bis-(3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl)adipate is also effective for pest control due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with the surface of the insect cuticle.
