6-Amino-2-(3-aminophenyl)benzoxazole is a polymer that is an isomer of 6-amino-2-(4-aminophenyl)benzoxazole. It has a molecular weight between 500 and 3,000,000, depending on the degree of polymerization and the processability. This compound has been used to produce polymers with high tensile strength and stiffness. The viscosity at room temperature ranges from 0.6cP to 1.0cP, while the viscosity at temperatures higher than 100°C ranges from 2.0cP to 5.0cP. The thermal stability of this compound is good, with decomposition occurring only above 180°C when it starts to form anhydrides.
