Beschreibung:Allyl chloroformate is a reactive compound that has been used as a chemical intermediate in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It reacts with amines, nitrogen atoms, and carbohydrates to produce allyl carbonates. Allyl chloroformate is also used as a fluorescence probe for the detection of inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. It has been shown to be effective against inflammatory diseases such as asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. The mechanism of action is thought to be related to its carbonyl group which reacts with an amine group to form an imine, which can then react with other amines or amino groups in the presence of an oxidizing agent to form a new molecule known as a Schiff base.
