Beschreibung

Aminoiminomethanesulfonic acid is a non-ionic surfactant with hydrophilic and lipophilic properties. It has been shown to be an effective topical treatment for tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, and Candida albicans. Aminoiminomethanesulfonic acid disrupts the lipid bilayers of the fungal cell membrane and stabilizes the keratin layer of the skin. This results in increased water retention within the stratum corneum, leading to a reduction in scaling or erythema. Aminoiminomethanesulfonic acid also inhibits viral replication by interfering with viral envelope proteins that are essential for virus binding and entry into cells.
