(1R,2R)-2-Aminocyclopentanol is a metabolite of the amino acid lysine and is produced by the enzymatic acetylation of aminocyclopentanol. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in a dose-dependent manner. This compound also inhibits lipase activity in vitro.
