Beschreibung:
S-(+)-Arundic acid is an enolate that is used as a chiral catalyst in asymmetric synthesis. It has been shown to catalyze the alkylation of aldehydes to produce optically active secondary alcohols. The enantiomeric excess of both products can be increased by using a chiral ligand with a single stereogenic center. This method of synthesis has been shown to be applicable in the preparation of polystyrene and carbonyl compounds.
