AY 9944 is a small molecule that binds to the IL-2 receptor. It has been shown to inhibit neuronal death induced by IL-2 and cholesterol, and promote the survival of pluripotent cells. AY 9944 is an enzyme that inhibits α1 subunit activity in experimental models, which leads to the inhibition of transcriptional regulation. This drug also blocks intracellular targets such as meiosis and locomotor activity in experimental models.
