Boc-Azetidine-3-carboxylic acid is a functionalized heterocyclic compound that can be synthesized by condensation of Boc-protected azetidinone and 2,4,6-trichlorobenzaldehyde. The synthesis of this molecule was accomplished in two steps. First, the Boc group was removed using trifluoroacetic acid and then the resulting carboxylic acid was condensed with 2,4,6-trichlorobenzaldehyde to give the desired product. Elemental analysis of the product showed that it contains one carbon atom, four hydrogen atoms, one nitrogen atom and one oxygen atom.
