Beschreibung

17-a-Acetoxyprogesterone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that has potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. It binds to the glucocorticoid receptor, which alters the transcription of target genes in response to stress. 17-a-Acetoxyprogesterone also has anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as a surfactant for premature infants with respiratory distress syndrome. This drug is not recommended for pregnant women or neonates because it can cause premature births and life-threatening complications.
