Beschreibung

Alizarin Red S is a dye that is used to identify the presence of acidic glycosaminoglycans in cells. It is a chemical compound that is extracted from the roots of alizarin-producing plants, such as madder and lichens. The dye has been shown to have a high degree of chemical stability and does not react with human serum or pluripotent cells. Alizarin Red S binds to acidic glycosaminoglycans, which can be detected by light signals emitted by the dye. This binding is reversible, which allows for an easy identification of these components in biological samples. Alizarin Red S reacts with acidic glycosaminoglycans by adsorbing to the surface of the cell, which can be seen using synchronous fluorescence microscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.
