Beschreibung

p-Anisidine-2-sulfonic acid is a reactive dye that can be used in paper, textiles, and inks. Its strong absorption band in the visible region makes it an effective pigment for coloring paper products and textiles. It is also used as a pH indicator to measure the acidity of solutions. The reactivity of p-anisidine-2-sulfonic acid with aromatic amines leads to its use in assays for these compounds. The chromophore of this compound is an amine group and it has two reactive groups that are bifunctional and electrochemically active. This compound deteriorates when exposed to light and air due to oxidation by atmospheric oxygen.
