• Beschreibung: 1-Aminoisoquinoline (1AIQ) is a diagnostic agent that can be used to image the gastrointestinal tract. It has been shown to have a strong affinity for the caco-2 cell, which is a model of human intestinal epithelium. 1AIQ has been shown to bind to benzamidine and form an adduct, which can be detected using vibrational spectroscopy. This compound also has pharmacokinetic properties in mice, with a constant of 0.8 L/kg and a half-life of 2 hours. The x-ray absorption spectrum of 1AIQ was determined from measurements on solutions in water and DMSO at both low and high concentrations. This spectrum was then compared with the calculated spectrum for 1AIQ in solution by molecular modeling studies. Titration calorimetry showed that the heat capacity change is proportional to the concentration of 1AIQ, while optical properties were determined from UV-vis spectra taken at different wavelengths
