Beschreibung

L-2-Amino-3-guanidinopropionic acid hydrochloride (LAG) is a benzyl ester containing two amino groups, which is converted to L-arginine in vivo. LAG has been shown to bind to the target protein and inhibit its activity. The binding of LAG to this target protein leads to inhibition of the synthesis of cell proteins and arginine, which are required for the production of neurotransmitters such as agmatine and nitric oxide. This drug has also been shown to be effective in treating Parkinson's disease by inhibiting the production of dopamine.
