• Beschreibung: H-Arg(NO2)-OH is a pharmacological agent that is used to monitor blood pressure. H-Arg(NO2)-OH has been shown to reduce neuronal death caused by oxidative stress in whole-cell recordings of cultured neurons. It also has been shown to have an effect on bowel disease in rats, and reduces the severity of the disease by preventing the release of proinflammatory cytokines. H-Arg(NO2)-OH has also been shown to inhibit polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and DNA synthesis. The mechanism may be due to its ability to bind and inhibit nuclear DNA polymerases, which are required for DNA replication. This drug is not active against myocardial infarcts or in protecting against mesenteric injury in rabbits.
