N-(4-Aminobenzoyl)-L-Glutamic Acid Diethyl Ester is a luminescent probe that is used in wastewater treatment. It is a gelator, which means that it can be used to increase the viscosity of water and other liquids. N-(4-Aminobenzoyl)-L-Glutamic Acid Diethyl Ester also has amide and thymidylate functional groups. The cell culture studies showed that citric acid and ammonolysis were potent inhibitors of the bacterial enzyme and cellular activity. This product is currently being studied for its clinical use in optical properties, diacid, and cellular applications.
