Beschreibung

3-Amino-5-bromo-2-hydroxypyridine is an alkaline compound that can be used as a posttreatment agent for the synthesis of strontium carbonate. The introduction of 3-amino-5-bromo-2-hydroxypyridine to a solution of strontium nitrate and hydrochloric acid followed by carbon dioxide gas leads to the precipitation of strontium carbonate. This reaction process is conducted in an alkaline solution and requires the use of carbonate and hydrochloric acid.
