(1R,3R)-3-Aminocyclohexanecarboxylate is an amino acid that is a GABA agonist. It has been shown to interact with the muscimol binding site of the GABAA receptor and potentiate the effects of other GABA agonists. This drug is also an analogue of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). It may act as a neurotransmitter or neuromodulator in the central nervous system.
