Beschreibung

5-Amino-2-chloro-4-fluorophenol is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water, ethanol, and ether. It has a molecular weight of 140.14 g/mol and can be synthesized by reacting an alkali metal with cyclopentyl chloride in the presence of an ammonium salt. 5-Amino-2-chloro-4-fluorophenol is used to synthesize aminophenols from carboxylic acid conjugates. The product is usually found as a mixture with other compounds such as faeces, which makes it difficult to analyze using gas chromatography. 5-Amino-2-chloro-4-fluorophenol can also be used to stabilize organic solvents during alkylation reactions.
