Beschreibung

Aloeresin D is a chemical compound that is found in the exudate of Aloe vera. It has been shown to have antidiabetic effects by normalizing insulin sensitivity and decreasing glucose production from the liver. Aloeresin D also has antioxidant properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the formation of reactive oxygen species and reduce lipid peroxidation. Aloeresin D can be synthesized from isoaloeresin, which is present in both Aloe vera and the genus Isoaloe. This compound is composed of a hydroxyl group, a carbonyl group, and two fatty acid chains with 18 carbon atoms each. The molecular formula for aloesin D is C18H36O6.
