Produktinformation
- Naphthalene-1,5-Dithiol
1,5-Dimercaptonaphthalene (1,5-DMN) is a polymerizable monomer that belongs to the class of cross-linked polymers. It can be synthesized by reacting 1,5-dimercaptoethane with methacrylic anhydride in the presence of dithiols or 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. 1,5-DMN has been shown to exhibit semiconducting properties and processability at temperatures between -30°C and 100°C. In addition, crosslinking of 1,5-DMN polymers occurs by addition of a methylene group from one macromolecule to another. This reaction is reversible and does not alter the molecular weight of the polymer.
