Beschreibung:
2-Nonylbenzimidazole is a lipophilic molecule that binds to the surface of bacteria and inhibits fatty acid synthesis. It has been shown to be effective against a range of bacteria, including gram-positive and gram-negative organisms. 2-Nonylbenzimidazole has been shown to have cytotoxic activity in human cervical carcinoma cells, as well as anticancer effects in vivo in mice with cancer. This compound has also been shown to induce cell death and inhibit tumor growth by binding to the cytochrome P450 enzyme and inhibiting the production of fatty acids.
