Beschreibung:
2-Bromo-5-nitropyridine is a hydrogen bond donor that can react with palladium complexes to form cross-coupling products. This chemical has been shown to inhibit the growth of population and has also shown an inhibitory effect on nicotinic acetylcholine receptor binding. 2-Bromo-5-nitropyridine is a nucleophilic compound, which means it reacts with electron rich molecules, such as nitro groups. It has been shown to have anti-cryptococcal activity in cryptococcus neoformans, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of the nitric oxide synthase enzyme.
