Produktinformation
1,1'-Bis(di-tert-butylphosphino)ferrocene (BTPF) is an organophosphorus compound that is soluble in organic solvents. It is a catalyst for the conversion of terminal alkynes to 1,2-diols or alcohols. BTPF has been shown to react with chloride ions to produce the corresponding phosphine oxide species. This reaction proceeds via a free radical mechanism and can be used as a means of preparing phosphine oxides from chloride salts. BTPF crystallizes in centrosymmetrical space group P2/n with cell dimensions a=13.4 Å, b=13 Å, c=6.9 Å, β=105° and Z=8. The crystal structure consists of two interpenetrating ferrocene molecules that are linked by one monodentate diphosphine ligand in each molecule and one bridging diph
