Beschreibung:
4-Benzyloxyphenylboronic acid is a water-soluble, white powder that has a strong absorbance at 408 nm. It is used in the synthesis of compounds that are monosubstituted with phenylpyrimidine and have an aromatic boron moiety. This compound can be used as a calibration standard for urine samples or in pharmacokinetic studies to measure the concentrations of 4-benzyloxyphenylboronic acid in human urine. The reversible covalent binding between the drug and 4-benzyloxyphenylboronic acid can be reversed by adding sodium carbonate to the reaction mixture, which has been shown to increase the rate of reaction for dopamine oxidation. The optimal reaction temperature is about 50°C with high values being obtained within minutes.
