Beschreibung

1-Bromo-4-(trans-4-n-pentylcyclohexyl)benzene (1-BCP) is a phenylpiperazine that acts as an antidepressant by inhibiting the reuptake of monoamines. It has been shown to be effective in treating depressive disorders, genitourinary symptoms, and vasomotor symptoms. 1-BCP has also been shown to be effective in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy and nervous system disorders. 1-BCP inhibits the reuptake of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine by blocking their transporters at the nerve terminal. This drug may also have a sedative effect due to its ability to activate GABA receptors in brain cells.
