Beschreibung

3-(Benzyloxy)cyclobutanone is a 6-chloropurine that has been used as a model system for the study of uptake and metabolism of nucleosides. It has been shown to inhibit cancer cells in the du145 and agrochemical carcinoma cell lines. 3-(Benzyloxy)cyclobutanone has also been shown to inhibit the growth of human lung carcinoma cells when combined with chloride. 3-(Benzyloxy)cyclobutanone can be used as a diagnostic tool, which can be detected by positron emission tomography (PET).
