Beschreibung:
8-Bromo-6-methoxyquinoline is a bromoquinoline with anticancer activity. It has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on cancer cells in vitro, and has been found to be a potential drug for the treatment of leukemia. The cytotoxic effect of 8-bromo-6-methoxyquinoline may be due to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis, protein synthesis, and RNA synthesis. This drug also inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to bacterial DNA gyrase.
