3-[[2-(Biotinylamino)ethyl]dithio]propanoic acid3-sulfo-N-hydroxysuccinimide ester sodium salt is a biotinylated derivative of the potent inhibitor of protein synthesis, dithiothreitol (DTT). 3-[[2-(Biotinylamino)ethyl]dithio]propanoic acid3-sulfo-N-hydroxysuccinimide ester sodium salt is used in analytical chemistry as a reagent for the determination of growth factors by measuring their uptake and cell lysis.
