Beschreibung:
2-Bromo-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid methylester is a synthetic reagent that can be used to generate a wide range of ketones. It is unselective, which means that it will react with various carbonyl groups to form the corresponding ketone. The reaction can be carried out in the presence of nitric acid or polyphosphoric acid. Alcohols and phenols can also be used as reactive partners. 2-Bromo-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid methylester is highly reactive and should be stored in an inert atmosphere such as argon gas or dry nitrogen gas.
