Produktinformation
- 3Benzylaminopropionic acid
N-Benzyl 3-aminopropionic acid (NAPA) is an activating agent that is used in the synthesis of β-amino acids. NAPA activates the nucleophilic center and yields high yields with a variety of solvents including water and DMF. In x-ray crystallography, NAPA has been shown to form macrocyclic structures in dendrimers. The activation by NAPA can be rationalized by considering its functional groups and the temperature at which it is activated. When heated, NAPA undergoes an exothermic reaction with a positive ΔH value, which indicates that it is an activating agent.
