Produktinformation
4-Bromomethyloxazole is a reaction product that can be formed from the coupling of bromine and an amine. This product has been shown to have pharmacological activity in assays, and is able to produce imidates when it reacts with copper. 4-Bromomethyloxazole has also been shown to catalyze hydroamination reactions, which involve the addition of ammonia or amines to an aliphatic compound. It was found that the sequence of amino acids in glutamate is important for its function as a neurotransmitter. Electrophysiological experiments have shown that glutamate interacts with receptors on neurons, causing depolarization and excitation.
