• Beschreibung: Boric acid, pinacol ester (BP) is a chemical compound that inhibits the 5-HT7 receptor. BP has been shown to be an inhibitor of growth factor and is used to treat autoimmune diseases. BP inhibits the formation of a copper complex with the BCR-ABL kinase, which is associated with chronic myeloid leukemia. It also inhibits epidermal growth factor and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in eye disorders. BP has a chemical stability that is greater than other inhibitors of 5-HT7 receptors, due to its hydroxyl group and nitrogen atoms. BP can be synthesized using a Suzuki coupling reaction as well as an optical sensor for monitoring the reaction rate. It has been found to be effective in treating hyperproliferative disease such as cancerous tumors and fibrosis.
