Beschreibung

Chloro[3-phenylallyl]palladium(II) is a palladium complex with the formula [(1,3-Bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene)chloro]palladium(II). It is insoluble in diethyl ether, but can be made soluble by filtration. The compound is prepared by reaction of chloro[3-phenylallyl]palladium(II) chloride with diethyl benzene.
The compound's yield can be improved by evaporating the solvent and then cross coupling with cinnamyl bromide in pentane to produce cinnamylchloro[3-phenylallyl]palladium(II).
