Beschreibung

1,3-Butylene glycol sulfite is a reaction system that consists of 1-adamantanol and styrene. The orientation process is done by evaporating the solvent and then reacting the remaining reactants in a tube reactor at atmospheric pressure. The reactions are carried out at room temperature for 3 hours. The product can be purified by adding sodium sebacate to the reaction mixture, followed by extraction with hexane. The resulting liquid is filtered and dried to give the desired product. 1,3-Butylene glycol sulfite has been shown to have orally bioavailable properties. It also has been shown to have a high degree of processability, which makes it suitable for pharmaceutical products.
