3-BroMo-1-(3-chloropyridin-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid is an impurity that can be found in the synthesis of chlorantraniliprole. It is a byproduct from the synthesis of 3-bromo-1-(3,4,5,6-tetrachloropyridin 2 yl) -1H pyrazole 5 carboxylic acid. This product has been shown to have oxidant activity and can be used as an intermediate in the preparation of other compounds. 3Bromo 1-(3,4,5,6 tetra chloropyridin 2 yl) -1H pyrazole 5 carboxylic acid is synthesized by reacting anthranilic acid with bromine and amine in a chlorination reaction. The reaction intermediates are dehydrogenation products and maleic anhydride.
