Beschreibung

Bromothymol blue is a pH indicator that changes from yellow to red in the presence of an acidic solution. It is also used as a metal hydroxide sensor due to its ability to change color when exposed to metal ions. Bromothymol blue is used in wastewater treatment and can be used in sodium citrate solutions for determining the pH of human serum. This product has been shown to have both optical and fluorescence properties. The fluorescence properties are synchronous with fluorescence probe, which means that it absorbs light at one wavelength and emits light at another wavelength. Bromothymol blue is soluble in water and has hydrogen bonding interactions with other organic molecules, such as proteins, making it useful for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements.
