Beschreibung:
(S)-1-(4-Benzyloxy-3-nitrophenyl)-2-bromoethanol is a chiral carbonyl reductase reagent that can be used for synthesizing racemic 1,4-benzenediol. This product is used in the industrial synthesis of carbonyl compounds and pharmaceuticals. (S)-1-(4-Benzyloxy-3-nitrophenyl)-2-bromoethanol was first prepared by the phase method with borane as a reducing agent. It has been shown to have good stereoselectivity for the reduction of aldehydes and ketones. This product is also used to produce medicines such as phenylephrine and acetaminophen.
