Beschreibung

Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that is used to reduce inflammation and relieve discomfort. Betamethasone 17-propionate is a prodrug of betamethasone, which has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on bacterial growth in vitro using wastewater treatment plants. Betamethasone 17-propionate is metabolized into the active form betamethasone dipropionate through the actions of hydrogenated, acidic, and 17-valerate reductases. This product has anti-inflammatory potency and can be used in the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions such as dermatitis, acne, or eczema. It also has vitamin D3 activity, which can increase bone density by increasing calcium absorption by the intestines and kidneys.
