Beschreibung

Brodifacoum is a rodenticide that causes death by internal hemorrhage. It works by interfering with vitamin K, which is important for blood clotting. Brodifacoum has an ecotoxicological effect because it can accumulate in the food chain, and it is also toxic to humans if ingested. It has been detected in the human serum after ingestion of sublethal doses of this chemical. Brodifacoum poisoning can be diagnosed by measuring its concentration in biological samples such as urine or blood. The presence of this compound can be determined using an LC-MS/MS method with a particle size detector, synchronous fluorescence and titration calorimetry.
