• Beschreibung: 6-Bromoisatin is an antimicrobial agent that belongs to the group of ethylene diamines. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of cancer cell viability in vivo and can be used as a potential chemotherapy agent. 6-Bromoisatin is active against human pathogens, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. This compound has also been shown to inhibit the growth of LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages, which are used in vitro for studying innate immunity. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of cyclic AMP production, which leads to cell death in cancer cells. 6-Bromoisatin also inhibits the proliferation and viability of granulosa cells and carcinoma cells, with IC50 values in the range of 0.5 - 2 µM.END>>
