• Beschreibung: The present invention relates to a method for the synthesis of (4R)-3-tert-butoxycarbonyl-2,2-dimethyl-4-formyloxazolidine. The method is based on a new and efficient allylation reaction using an allyl alcohol as the electrophile. This method allows for the production of this compound in high yield and with excellent stereoselectivity. It also provides a convenient route to prepare (4R)-3-tert-butoxycarbonyl oxindole in good yield and high stereoselectivity. This product has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties that are due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
