At present, the Dragendorff’s reagent is composed by bismuth potassium iodide and other additives, and is of great importance in screening natural products. In addition, modified formulations of the Dragendorff’s reagent containing bismuth potassium iodide and different additives are used for the production of surfactants (Raal, 2020).
